SUMMER WHEAT FIELDS
Damp early mornings with family fox
I started following this pair of red foxes just a month ago right as the breeding season was coming to a close and the youngsters were all but independent. Mum and Dad have kept up their routines, traversing the corn and wheat fields in search of mice, sunbathing on the farmer’s access roads, and making the most of the warm days.
After many early starts and just as many missed opportunities, I was lucky to capture a few good images from various distances. The light was often challenging harsh on some mornings, overcast on others but each outing brought its own rewards.
Every year, it’s my passion to discover a new fox pair, with the hope of finding a breeding couple and watching the cubs grow up and blossom.
Enjoy the images and don’t forget to like!
